Tarra Benham RAc
Tarra is a practitioner deeply committed to creating a safe, thoughtful, and collaborative space where those she works with feel supported and confident in their body’s innate capacity to heal.
Rooted in Traditional Chinese Medicine, her approach recognizes the body as a dynamic and intelligent system capable of returning to balance when given the right support. Rather than chasing symptoms, Tarra identifies underlying patterns and works alongside the body, offering targeted support so that it can recalibrate and restore harmony from within.
Whether someone is navigating pain, digestive concerns, stress, hormonal shifts, or seeking a boost in aesthetic confidence, her goal remains the same: to support meaningful, sustainable change in a way that feels empowering and lasting.
Tarra is a Registered Acupuncturist in British Columbia, a Doctoral Candidate in Traditional Chinese Medicine, and a member of the ATCMA. Her relationship with this medicine began at age twelve, when acupuncture helped resolve chronic injuries from competitive gymnastics after other approaches had failed. That experience sparked a lasting respect for the quiet efficacy of traditional medicine and a deep curiosity about how the body restores equilibrium when supported through time-tested principles.
Committed to a lifetime of learning, she continues to deepen her clinical knowledge and refine her approach through ongoing study. Traditional Chinese Medicine offers a depth that reveals new layers the more closely it is explored, inviting both humility and sustained curiosity. Drawing from classical foundations and contemporary clinical insight, she thoughtfully integrates this evolving understanding into her practice.
Tarra divides her time between the vibrancy of Vancouver and the quiet of Pemberton. When not in clinic, she can often be found walking along the river with her partner and their dog, collecting stones and enjoying a sweet treat from the local bakery. Slower rhythms and small rituals are the magic that helps keep her anchored in this beautiful and wild world.

She is a dedicated loving individual who sees beauty in everything that surrounds her. Hugh Flint CNP
Hugh Flint is a holistic nutritionist, professional chef, and the founder of Whistler Living Kitchen. His work is driven by a simple goal: helping people optimize their health so they can feel energized, resilient, and fully engaged in life.
Hugh is a Certified Nutrition Practitioner (CNP) through the Institute of Holistic Nutrition and a Natural Nutrition Clinical Practitioner (NNCP), a professional designation granted by the Canadian Association of Natural Nutritional Practitioners. He works with clients through Whistler Wellness, supporting individuals who want to improve digestion, energy, mood, stress resilience, hormonal balance, body composition, and sports performance.
Nutrition is deeply personal. With so much conflicting information circulating in the media — restrictive diets, intermittent fasting, plant-based, carnivore — it’s easy to feel overwhelmed. Hugh’s approach is to cut through the noise and help each client discover what truly works for their unique body and lifestyle. Through personalized nutrition strategies, targeted supplementation, and compassionate coaching, he helps people make small, practical changes that can create powerful shifts in how they feel day to day.
Hugh’s work is grounded in the powerful relationship between the gut, brain, and nervous system. By focusing on real food, metabolic health, and nervous system balance, he helps clients cultivate vibrant energy, clear thinking, healthy digestion, and a body that feels strong and capable.
Originally from Adelaide, South Australia, Hugh’s path into nutrition began in professional kitchens. As a lifelong chef, he developed a deep respect for whole ingredients, seasonal cooking, and the joy of sharing meals with others. Over time, the intensity of the food industry — along with personal experiences of burnout and stress — sparked a deeper curiosity about health, resilience, and the profound impact food can have on how we feel.
Today, Hugh brings together culinary expertise and holistic nutrition to support people in reconnecting with nourishing food and sustainable health practices. In addition to one-on-one nutrition coaching, he creates personalized private dining experiences and leads cooking workshops, talks, and community events designed to inspire healthier, happier living.
Whether he’s working with a client, teaching a class, or preparing a meal, Hugh’s goal remains the same: helping people feel nourished, supported, and fully energized for the lives they want to live.
As a Certified Nutrition Practitioner Hugh’s services are covered by Manulife, Greenshield, Equitable Life, IA Financial Group and ClaimSecure.

Chris Parsons RAc
Chris Parsons has been practicing Acupuncture, traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) and Craniosacral therapy in Whistler since 2006.
In his fourth year of TCM study, Chris spent his final semester and practicum requirements working under many highly experienced doctors at Tong Ren hospital in Beijing, China. There he gained a deep appreciation for the practical skills used daily, to great effect, in the hospital setting in China. These practices are very useful for today’s modern injuries and health complaints and people are finding Acupuncture to be an effective path to recovery and part of a health maintenance routine.
Along with acupuncture and the hands-on aspect of his healing practice, Chris teaches his clients how to balance their own health and prevent injury and dis-ease with classes and seminars in Tai Chi and Qi Gong. These practices have proven to be helpful across a broad variety of demographics; from educational Institutions, First Nations, Seniors activity groups, corporate and private clients and of course athletes. With over 30 years of study and practice in the martial and healing arts, including a combined four years spent in Japan and China, Chris believes that the combination of self-treatment through daily movement practices such as Tai Chi, Qi Gong and the ever-popular Yoga, along with hands-on treatments when necessary, is the path to maintaining an active and healthy lifestyle.
Chris’s personal history with sports injuries and pain management come from his years searching for relief from chronic lower back pain as he spent most of his 20’s dealing with it. A relentless pursuit of relief was finally found from Acupuncture and the tools of Traditional Chinese Medicine (cupping, scraping therapy “gua sha”and massage) and especially from building a daily practice of the coordinated and relaxing movement practices of TaiChi and QiGong!
Passionate about helping others find their highest potential in health and life, Chris strives to provide the tools and methods for his clients to expand their understanding and trust in the wisdom and natural healing potential of the body.

Jamie Sprague CHt
Originally from New Brunswick, Jamie moved to British Columbia in 1992, eventually discovering Whistler. He used it as a home base to travel the world while sharing his passion of teaching Scuba diving. An accident in Australia drew Jamie back to his psychology degree roots with the curiosity of how we could reach altered states of mind naturally. Upon returning in 2010, he immediately attended The Coastal Academy of Hypnotic Arts and Sciences to become a Clinical Hypnotherapist. Since then, Jamie has been privately practicing for 14 years, guiding hundreds of local clients through releasing blockages, instilling self-confidence, and creating awareness and flexibility of mind. He has now chosen to expand his Clinical Hypnotherapy practice to join the amazing team at Whistler Wellness, offering 3 private sessions on Sundays.
Typically, your first session is basically an introduction to hypnosis; sort of a training session. You get to know each other, express what you wish to accomplish, and then he will guide you into a deep state of relaxation. Once you are there, he suggests positive affirmations to your subconscious. The entire session takes about two hours. Successive sessions could entail suggestive dictation, parts therapy, cording, regression, or perhaps Advanced Spiritual Hypnosis. Typically, two to five sessions are required, depending on the nature of the issue.
Beyond the clinic, you may find Jamie floating through the mountains on two wheels or a board, playing in the water, hiking the valley trails, or globetrotting with his wife and best friend of 20 years.
Please note: Jamie is not a Registered Clinical/Therapeutic Counsellor or Registered Psychologist so his hypnotherapy services are not covered by extended health insurance plans.

Bonita Steele RCC PhD
Dr. Bonita Steele is a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC) in British Columbia with both an MA and a PhD from UBC. Her counselling approach is Humanistic, in that it is characterized by her person-centered therapy model that focuses on the inherent goodness of people and their innate drive toward self-actualization. She leads with her belief that individuals can find solutions to problems, when given a supportive environment that fosters growth through three core conditions: unconditional positive regard, genuineness, and empathy. Dr. Steele’s therapeutic approach can also be adapted to enhance the drive-and-growth of a group (or team) of people.
Along with the Humanistic therapy approach described above, Dr. Steele will often incorporate Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to help clients with issues such as: • Anxiety and panic disorders • Depression • Chronic pain • Substance use disorders • Workplace stress • Body Image struggles
ACT is an action-oriented psychotherapy that helps individuals accept difficult emotions and thoughts rather than fighting them, while committing to behavior changes that align with their personal values. It promotes psychological resilience and flexibility, through mindfulness and behavioral techniques.
In closing, Dr. Steele’s approach provides an opportunity for long-lasting impact for individuals as well as with athletic and corporate groupings that have goals of removing performance-restricting barriers.
